Old Lotus Pond in Jinxi

This is not really a separate body of water, but a part of Wubao Lake at the entrance to the town of Jinxi, next to Lianchi Temple. Its arched Old Lotus Bridge marks a sort of boundary between the pond and the rest of the lake. Its white lotus flowers are said to have been planted in memory of the Xiaozong Emperor's concubine, Chen, during the Song Dynasty (960-1279).

Datang eco-farm in Qiandeng

This farm has both organic produce and some serene views, making it a perfect summer getaway in the rural part of the town of Qiandeng. The pink lotus flowers on its waterways can be enjoyed from the paths that wind among the poplar and willow trees.

Taishidian wetland in Zhouzhuang

The wetland sights of the Taishidian Lake system to the south of the town of Zhouzhuang can be mesmerizing. Splashing about in the clear lake water, visitors might even be lucky enough to find a cultured pearl. The water lilies spread their big verdant leaves across the water surface to flaunt their elegant flowers.
