After 30 months of construction works, Kunshan's latest amusement park, "Dream of Water", finally opened to the public on June 27.

The park, located in Bacheng town, Kunshan city in Jiangsu province, is home to 13 outdoor facilities with a maximum capacity of around 40,000 people.

A speed slide set at a sharp angle offers speeds of up to 15.24-meters per second to whoever rides it from its height of 26 meters, according to a tourism news report on jschina.com.

One slide is shaped like the end of a large trumpet. Family and friends can sit in an inflatable ring and spiral down from the rim of the 16-meter high slide until they reach the small opening at the bottom and drop down into the pool.

Visitors can also check out the waterpark's large pool, which has an 8,000-person capacity and built-in wave machine. The park also features a children's pool with two-meter high slides for kids and a soothing river-ride, providing a spa-like treatment for visitors drifting along the route.

The park will also incorporate indoor amusement facilities and an ocean-themed hotel, both of which will begin construction soon.

Absorbing an investment of 2.2 billion yuan ($354.38 million), the property occupies an area of 24,8000 square meters and is located between Zuchongzhi road and Jinxiu road, next to the famous Yangcheng Lake.

Kunshan opened a direct bus line between the Bacheng passenger terminal and the park on June 27 and extended the tourism line 6 to the park on the same day.

The water park signed the website "ly.com" as its sole online ticket provider for 2015. Holiday planners can find discounted tickets for adults, children and families on the website, ranging from 98 yuan ($15.79) to 158 yuan.

The park is open daily from 10 am to 6 pm. Starting from July 11, the park will extend its closing time to 10 pm and allocate separate admission passes for different time periods.
