The city of Kunshan has announced that it will open its newest water park, in the town of Bacheng, to the public in early August as work moves along smoothly.

The 248,000-square-meter park, which cost 2.1 billion yuan ($340.24 million), has a "Dream of Water" theme and will be the largest and most modern park in the Yangtze River Delta region. It will have outdoor and indoor parts, a 5-star hotel, convention center, and recreation and other facilities, providing water activities, culture, leisure, sightseeing and its own distinct food.

It is expected to give Kunshan tourism a boost and to satisfy the need for self-driving tours, one-day tours and weekend tours. There will be free shuttle bus service and tickets will range in price from 180 yuan for adults to 120 yuan for children 1.2 - 1.5 meters in height, to free admission for those below 1.2 meters.
