Kunshan Holiday Resort, one of Jiangsu's first province-level holiday zones, has built a number of distinctive leisure tourism sites to promote rural tourism, including Datang Ecological Park, Xingqijiu Ecological Farm, Bacheng Modern Agriculture Park, Crocodile Valley, Laoji Picking Garden and Shangkunshi Orchard.

In the holiday resort, visitors are able to enjoy themselves by appreciating colorful flowers, picking their own fruit and tasting farm dishes.

With the season for harvesting fruit approaching, more and more city dwellers are flocking to Laoji Garden to pick nectarines. The garden boasts 50 mu (3.33 hectares) of fruit orchards. The golden season for nectarine-picking is between mid-May and early June. Other fruits, such as grapes and pears, will reach maturity later.

According to Xia Liangjian, the garden owner, fruit picking tours have become popular for families in recent years. Picking fruit in the countryside helps citizens escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Various rural leisure tours are available in the holiday resort, tasting ecological food in Datang Ecological Park, enjoying the crocodile performance and enjoying outdoor sports.

Kunshan Holiday Resort aims to boost promotion of rural tourism and provide a great rural experience tour for the public.
