The ninth China Kunshan International Beer Festival ended on August 25. According to statistics from the organizer, more than 420,000 people attended the 11-day festival and drank 1,260 tons of beer.

Roughly 200 kinds of beer from 20 brands across eight countries and regions participated in the festival, the same as last year. Over 70 percent of visitors were migrants to Kunshan.

A performance at the opening ceremony of the festival was distinctive, but not excessive. A Kun dance unique to Kunshan was performed by local performers. A German band was invited to perform Bavarian-style songs and dances. Taiwan artists showed off a Zhanshen dance from the Gaoshan ethnic group. The festival served as a good platform for cultural communication.
