Zhouzhuang is located between Shanghai, Suzhou and Hangzhou, providing convenient transportation. The town is surrounded by water, and people have to take boats to visit each other even if they are very close. The town sits along the riverbank. The bridges connect streets, grand courtyards, heavy high ridge eaves, pier villages, street arcades, and pavilions facing the river. The scenery south of the Yangtze River is quiet and simple.
