A total of 17 Kunshan travel agencies have made the list of Jiangsu Provincial Star Travel Agencies. Seven of the agencies are three-star, eight are two-star and two are one-star.

The evaluation of starred travel agencies is based on the agencies' general condition, business performance, internal management, security assurance, informalization construction, brand building and service quality. Five levels have been set, from the highest five-star to the lowest one-star. This evaluation can help the tourism authorities supervise and administrate travel agencies.

Travel agencies in Kunshan have improved significantly in terms of facilities, service, corporate image and brand building through the evaluation process.
