Du Jiang, deputy director of the China National Tourism Administration, inspected Zhouzhuang's Spring Festival tour work on Feb 1, 2013. Du Jiang attended a work report by the Suzhou tourism administration and Zhouzhuang scenic area and pointed out that the scenic area should enhance tourism product provisions and regulate the tour market. Meanwhile, the scenic area should pay attention to service quality and tour safety.

Zhouzhuang is a popular place for tourists to pray for good fortune during Spring Festival. Du Jiang hoped that the fire department will take measures to ensure the safe lighting of incense.
