Teenagers compete in shooting championships

The youth shooting championships took place in Hohhot from June 23 to 25, engaging 355 of the region’s teenagers in assorted pistol and rifle competitions.

A total of nine youth delegations represented Hohhot, Baotou, Ordos, Chifeng, Tongliao, and Hulunbuir to compete in 56 contests, including the 10-meter air pistol, the 50-meter rifle three positions, and the 25-meter sport pistol.

By the end of the competition, the Hohhot shooting squad ranked first in terms of gold medals and total medals won, with 21 golds, 11 silvers and nine bronzes.

Hulunbuir delegation won 12 golds, 13 silvers and 11 bronzes, ranking second. Chifeng came third with 11 golds, two silvers and four bronzes.

The event was sponsored by Inner Mongolia Sports Bureau, Inner Mongolia Education Bureau, and Inner Mongolia Shooting, Archery and Equestrian Sports Center.
