Eastern farmland suffers drought

A recent hot and dry spell has resulted in a moderate drought in eastern Inner Mongolia autonomous region, causing considerable harm to local farmland, according to the region’s meteorology department. Crops and vegetables are in desperate need of irrigation following the dry weather.
