Inner Mongolia intended to enhance medical care in remote grassland regions and rural areas through the building of health clinics and employing doctors and nurses for door-to-door home examinations and services.

In Inner Mongolia, each clinic can serve an area of around 275 square meters, according to the local health department.

Since 2013, Abag Banner in Xilin Gol League has provided medical kits for herdsmen living more than 10 kilometers away from local health clinics.

The banner has also arranged doctors to serve specific areas, and a mobile medical vehicle equipped with medical examination facilities including a type-B ultrasonic set, electrocardiograph machine, and a urine analyzer.
