On Feb 17, a strategic contract was signed in Hohhot to establish broader collaboration between Inner Mongolia Daily and People’s Daily.

Lu Xinning, executive editor of People’s Daily, and Bai Yugang, head of Inner Mongolia Publicity Department, and Wu Hailong, deputy publisher and editor-in-chief of Inner Mongolia Daily attended the signing ceremony.

During the event, a studio was founded to cover news among social media and networks, which will promote the partnership between the two newspapers.

Recently, new media have spared no effort in spreading fast and instant stories via social networks where more people, especially the young, spend a lot of their time. The cooperation between the two news agencies will pay a great deal of attention to keeping pace with global trends.
