Inner Mongolia's longest high-speed railway tunnel opens

The Dongtu village tunnel in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region, which is the main project and longest tunnel of the Zhangjiakou-Hohhot passenger railway line, opened on April 30. The Dongtu village tunnel is a single-hole double line rail, 4.56 km long. The Zhangjiakou-Hohhot passenger railway line is 286.8 km long, with a speed of 250 km per hour, and will connect with the Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed railway after completion to form an express passenger channel between the central and western regions of Inner Mongolia and Beijing.
