Far North China Lantern Festival

The people of Baotou, Inner Mongolia autonomous region have been decorating lanterns, cooking glutinous rice balls, and arranging yangko dances and guessing games to celebrate the Lantern Festival, which comes on the 15th day of the first lunar month, or Feb 22 this year, symbolizes unity and perfection and is an important part of Spring Festival, and the official end of the long holiday.
