Baotou attracts 198,000 tourists during Spring Festival

Baotou, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, was a hot spot for tourists during the week-long Spring Festival holiday. About 198,000 tourists swarmed into the city during Feb 7-13, an increase of 13 percent compared to last year. Gross tourism revenue increased 24 percent on the previous year to about 100 million yuan ($16 million).

Folk culture, winter sports and village leisure tourism were popular among visitors, with skiing, skating, ice sculpture viewing, vegatable picking and hot springs being hot items.
