Inner Mongolia applying for national art funds

After China's Culture and Finance ministries established a National Endowment for the Arts on Dec 31, 2013, the Inner Mongolia autonomous region's Culture Department has managed to set up an annual art fund over the past two years.

The Culture Department reports that it had 183 art projects for 2014, nine of which received 6.68 million yuan ($1million) in funds and were completed by the end of 2015. The region had 120 projects for 2015, with 15 of them getting 22.15 million yuan in funds, and five of them large-scale.

Inner Mongolia is also setting up an art fund office which will be in charge of applications for and supervision of art funding.
