Pavilion for Inner Mongolian specialties goes online

An online shop for Inner Mongolian specialties opened on JD.com, one of China’s e-commerce giants, on Dec 12.

The opening ceremony was held in Hohhot, capital of Inner Mongolia, sponsored by Inner Mongolia Grassland Culture Protection and Development Fund and JD.com.

Based on the model of Internet plus local specialties, the platform integrates dozens of Inner Mongolian special products companies through unified storage, distribution, customer services and after-sales services, to supply green and safe products for customers, said Li Xuyong, deputy president of JD.com.

The platform was approved by the region’s commerce department and will house over 500 companies from the region, with more than 5,000 local specialties.
