Inner Mongolia, Shanghai and Anhui work together on tourism

North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region will cooperate with Shanghai and Anhui province to expand tourism in Northeast Asia and Russia, according to an exchange and promotion conference held in Shanghai on Sept 7.

The three areas reached a framework agreement at the conference to optimize tourism cooperation, map out a regional tourism development.

Moreover, the framework encourages tourism management companies and renowned brands to carry out inter-province operations. They will work jointly to improve the quality of tourism practitioners by taking advantage of the human and education resources in the three regions.

The three regions will also coordinate in tourism emergencies, tourism law enforcement, and in handling complaints.

In the context of the Belt and Road Initiative, The three regions’ partnership will build inter-province brands, said Yun Guangzhong, vice-chairman of Inner Mongolia at the conference.

The conference has already defined a collective development plan highlighting three major travel routes across the three regions.

Over 30 cooperation intentions were reached at the meeting, with 11 agreements signed among the three regions’ travel companies.
