The first Mongolian audiobook made its debut in a Hohhot kindergarten in Inner Mongolia autonomous region on May 29.

This audiobook was subsidized by a state ethnic publishing fund. Children's books are booming in recent years, but rarely designed for ethnic groups' children, especially if they speak ethnic languages. The new audiobook included 99 children's stories translated from Chinese and matched with two Mongolian-Chinese books.

The officials from the region's departments of publicity, education and culture, as well as the administration of press, publication, radio, film and television and the commission of ethnic affairs were present for the book's press conference.
