Inner Mongolia's tourism enterprises have reached nearly 100 cooperation agreements with travel agencies and scenic spots from neighboring regions at the 10th Northeast China Tourism Trade Fair held in Harbin, Heilongjiang province, in this April.

The three provinces in Northeast China, namely Heilongjiang, Liaoning and Jilin, are major resources of tourists for Inner Mongolia. The autonomous region has been trying to integrate into Northeast China's tourism market.

Nearly 150 tourism practitioners from Inner Mongolia took part in the fair. The tourism bureau of Hulunbuir, one of the exhibitors, highlighted its tourism brands on ethnic group characteristics and winter tourism products through photo illustrations, videos, and dance and song performances.

Tongliao focused on Horqin history, culture, and grassland and sand sceneries at the tourism event.

Inner Mongolia should promote its tourism in the Northeast China market with detailed works to arouse their tourists' interest in Inner Mongolia, according to the head of the Hunlunbuir tourism bureau.

"Inner Mongolia's Hulunbuir, Chifeng, Tongliao and Hinggan League neighbor Northeast China's three provinces. Many tourists prefer to visit these cities and leagues as the first stop when traveling to Inner Mongolia. Various tourism resources have potential tourists in these regions. Inner Mongolia's further cooperation and integration with Northeast China's tourism will promote the leapfrog development of its tourism industry," said a travel agency manager.

Nearly 100 tourism enterprises from over 10 provinces and regions were presented at the tourism fair.
