Hohhot leads in Internet news release

Updated: 2015-03-04

Hohhot, capital city of the Inner Mongolia autonomous region, built an Internet news release platform this year, in addition to its existing information platforms. The online platform began operations on March 3 and will broadcast at 9 am every Tuesday.

As the first Internet news release platform in the region, it was organized and operated by the municipal Party committee's publicity office. Officials with different responsibilities in the city will be invited to introduce the administrative and Party news in different areas, units and departments, and also answer hot issues concerning the public using words or videos.

The Internet platform was introduced to further expand the information publicity channels in regards to Hohhot's Party and administration issues and to build up a government information platform that is more efficient, accurate and transparent for the public. It plans to hold about 40 news releases this year.
