China's first grass industry e-trade platform officially went online in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Jan 11, according to the Inner Mongolia Pasture Industry Development Association.

The platform was designed in accordance with bulk commodities trade based on the efforts of the region's pasture industry development association and other participants.

Through trade models like grass stock retailing, ordering and auctions, the platform strives to achieve pasture grass products standardization, trade systemization and integration of stock with logistics to create a convenient, open and equal trade environment for the grass industry.

Moreover, the platform plans to cover the domestic market in five years and works to be an international commodities exchange with comprehensive services in stock trade, finance and logistics.
