Inner Mongolia unveils ethnic specialties union

After over one year of preparation, the Inner Mongolia Ethnic Specialties Union was unveiled in the capital city of Hohhot on Dec 23, coinciding with the Grassland Silk Road Economic Belt Inner Mongolia Ethnic Specialties Industry Development Forum. More than 200 enterprise representatives, experts and scholars were on hand for the event.

Inner Mongolia is a region rich in specialty resources and specialty cultures. It plays a significant role in the region's social and economic development. The newly-established specialties union is a professional, industrial and non-profit organization that assembles Inner Mongolia-based specialty producers and operators, renowned experts and scholars in the field of specialty research, and some industrial organizations, according to Wang Haifeng, who was just elected as the union's chairman.

The union will strive to push forward the development of the autonomous region's specialties industry.

The first Inner Mongolia selection for good specialties also kicked off at the unveiling ceremony.
