Charison fishing and hunting culture tourism festival attracts tourists

Located on the Nenjiang River and 32 kilometers from the city of Ulanhot in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region, the Charison reservoir is a water conservancy hub that integrates functions such as irrigation, flood control, fishing and tourism. It plays an important role for flood protection, water supply and ecological safety for both Inner Mongolia and its neighbor, Jilin province.

Thanks to the joint efforts of the government of Hinggan League’s Horqin Right Front Banner, the tourism bureau of Hinggan League and the administration committee of Charison Reservoir, the first Charison Lake Ice and Snow Fishing and Hunting Culture Tourism Festival kicked off in Hinggan League on Dec 20 and will last until Jan 23, 2015. The tourism event was designed to promote the cultural image and name of the local area.
