The Hohhot Export Processing Zone in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region will copy 14 innovative regulations of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ).

Hosted by Hohhot Customs, a total of 30 attendees, including officials of the administration committee of Hohhot Export Processing Zone and representatives of the processing zone-based enterprises, were on hand at a promotional conference publicizing this measure.

The conference introduced 14 innovative regulations including "entering the zone before customs clearance", "separate delivery, concentrated declaration" and "self-handled transportation".

The implementation of these new measures will help to speed up customs clearance, cut delivery costs, improve the declaration accuracy and simplify clearance procedures. It is estimated that the regulations will save 70 percent of the time in cargo clearing and 200,000 yuan ($ 32,020) in delivery costs for every enterprise per year.
