CGGC attends 2013（Africa） China Commodities, Technology and Services Expo

Between December 5 and 7, the (Africa) China Commodities, Technology & Services Expo & Forum on China-Ethiopia Cooperation on Industry and Commerce was held in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia.

CGGC was invited to participate in the expo and its booth was one of the most eye-catching booths in the expo. The construction achievements in power infrastructure and complete solution of CGGC for design, construction and equipment manufacturing system attracted wide attention and were highly praised by the governments of and owners and media from China and African countries.

It is reported that the expo was hosted by China’s Ministry of Commerce, aiming to promote China and Africa to cooperate with each other in a wider scope and field and at a higher level. The expo attracted over 150 Chinese and foreign firms. Gao Hucheng, Minister of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, Lin Yifu, Vice Chairman of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, Hailemariam Dessalegn, Prime Minister of Ethiopia, and Dlamini-Zuma, the Chairperson of African Union sent congratulatory messages to the expo. Xie Xiaoyan, the Chinese Ambassador to Ethiopia, and Sisay Gemechu, Ethiopian State Minister of Industry attended the opening ceremony of the expo.

As the winner of the gold prize of “Award for Contributions to Sino-African Friendship – Top Ten Chinese Enterprises in Africa”, CGGC has been strengthening the exchange with African countries and expanding the overseas market for a long time. Now, it has established several branch offices in Africa, covering many projects involving power construction, housing construction, highway, bridge, sewage treatment, municipal works and harbor as well as Sino-African trade and design consultation.

Mr. Erastus Mwencha, Vice Chairman of African Union, accompanied by Han Shengjian, Deputy Director of the Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce of China, visits CGGC’s exhibition booth. Mr. Erastus Mwencha says that he is very glad to see renowned CGGC in Addis Ababa. He says that the power construction products and services that CGGC showcases is very suitable for Africa.

Han Shengjian, Deputy Director of the Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce of China, introduces the information on CGGC’s participation in power construction in Africa to Mr. Sisay, state councilor of Ethiopia.

The relevant responsible person of CGGC’s branch in Ethiopia introduces the information on CGGC’s construction projects in Africa to the counselor to the minister of Ethiopian Water Energy Ministry and the director of the planning department of Ethiopian National Planning Department.
