The Qingjiang Shuibuya Hydropower Station built by CGGC has the world's highest concrete face rock-fill dam, praised by the International Commission on Large Dams as a "landmark project" that demonstrates China's international leadership in concrete face rock-fill dam construction technology.

All four turbo-generator units of Shuibuya HPP were installed by CGGC and the first unit passed water-filling test, started up, connected onto the power grid and operated 72 hours continuously on the first trial. The first unit was put into service on July 22 2007.
