Ruzhou works to become a livable city

Ruzhou has been working to strengthen its management of city appearance, environment, and public facilities to improve its image, enhance investment attraction, and promote economic and urban development.

Ruzhou has reinforced the management of main city roads, especially in densely populated areas. Efforts were also made to rectify irregularities to maintain city order.

In sanitary management, Ruzhou worked to ensure the cleanliness of wide streets and narrow lanes. Garbage disposal work was conducted effectively to maintain a clean and tidy city environment. Garbage and waste from 80,000 households and 16,000 construction sites were disposed of in 2012.

Specially assigned workers irrigated and weeded the green belts at regular times. Ruzhou has 36 acres of green land area. There are about 10,000 plants in parks and gardens, and the lawn’s area totals 8,950 square meters.

Public facilities were examined and maintained by workers to ensure their normal function. Ruzhou repaired 3,171 square meters of pavement and cleaned 42 kilometers of road. The city did quite well in municipal facilities management.

Ruzhou effectively improved the public service level and was titled Henan’s “Garden City”, “Ecological City” and “Advanced City in Fine Management”. Ruzhou has become a city that is more vigorous, harmonious and livable.
