Dunhuang Airport plans to enact a new winter-spring schedule, adding a new flight to connect Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, with Zhangye, Gansu.

The airport will operate four flights according to the new schedule, linking seven cities, including Chengdu, Sichuan province, Chongqing Municipality and Urumqi.

The four flights consist of a Xian-Dunhuang round-trip by China Eastern Airline every day and a Chengdu-Lanzhou-Dunhuang flight by Sichuan Airlines every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

At the initial stage of the new season, the airlines have introduced special fares. The Dunhuang-Urumqi flight will cost 210 yuan ($33.01) after a 30 percent discount, and the Dunhuang-Zhangye flight will offer a 20 percent discount, costing only 160 yuan for one trip.
