Facilitating project integration and mechanism innovation

To build Ting River Economic and Ecological Corridor into a base for ecological construction and industrial projects, Changting County has made more construction projects of the economic and ecological corridor included in the investment and funding plans of superior departments, and introduced more, better and larger industrial projects into the economic and ecological corridor by taking advantage of brand effect of water and soil control and the strengths of the platform of Ting River Economic and Ecological Corridor, taking industrial and functional layout of the corridor into consideration, carefully investigating policies and introducing projects, and strengthening communications. Centered on the building of Ting River Economic and Ecological Corridor, the county has been building and improving ecological civilization construction system, modern property right system, forest ownership and land transfer system and other systems, actively exploring diversified investment mechanism, ecological compensation mechanism and ecological protection and management mechanism, accelerating changes in government functions, stimulating market’s vitality, and building Ting River Economic and Ecological Corridor into a pilot area for mechanism and system innovations.

Building ‘one zone, two parks and six areas’ along the river

According to the general plan of Ting River Economic and Ecological Corridor, Party committee and government of Changting County plan to build ‘one zone, six areas and two parks’ along the ecological landscape demonstration road from Hetian to Sanzhou.

It’s known that Changting County will build areas along the ecological landscape road from Hetian to Sanzhou into ecological economy demonstration zone, 6 projects with total investment of RMB 167.39 million yuan are planned to be carried out this year. ‘Six areas’ of 10,000 mu (1 mu equals to 0.0667 hectares) quality paddy demonstration area, modern trees and flowers demonstration area, modern agriculture demonstration area, sightseeing agriculture demonstration area, under-forest economy demonstration area and Sanzhou ancient town area will be built along the demonstration road, 7 projects with total investment of RMB 211.2 million yuan are planned to be executed this year.

Besides, Changting Country will build Ting River National Wetland Park and Sanzhou River Beach Park, 8 projects with total investment of RMB 181.17 million yuan are planned to be carried out this year. In which, Ting River National Wetland Park had gone through review and publicity of State Forestry Admission in December 2013, and got the approval for pilot construction.

Sanzhou River Beach Park with planned area of around 300 mu is located on river banks at bridge in Qiufang Village, Sanzhou Township. Sculpture garden which reflects people’s engagement in Changting’s water and soil control, garden of donated trees, river beach park, waterfront walkway as well as parks present ecological culture and allow people to enjoy themselves with estimated investment of RMB 45 million yuan will be built there.
