Vertical run is back! Ready to climb Beijing's tallest building?

Last September, some 800 runners from more than 20 countries climbed the 82-story China World Summit Wing in Beijing's CBD area as part of the 2015 Vertical World Circuit.

The fun challenge is back and online registrations have just started.

Participants will begin at the tower's ground floor lobby and ascend 82 floors by staircase to the helipad on the rooftop. Assume you can finish the 2,041 steps and 330 meters and recover your breath, you will see some stunning views of Beijing's skyline.

It's actually not as intimidating as it sounds. Most amateur runners finished the climb in 15 to 40 minutes. The fastest male elite runner, Piotr Lobodzinski from Poland, took only 9 minutes and 53 seconds, successfully defending his title from last year.
