Lightning from Typhoon Morakot struck and killed a student wearing his headphones to bed in his dorm room in Dongfang, Hainan province, last Tuesday.

The man surnamed Zhong went to bed jamming to his headphones at about 9 pm just as the typhoon slammed into the coastal province. Medical staff found the boy dead on arrival.
