He Guoqiang hails Fujian's Morakot relief work

The member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and the secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC, He Guoqiang, has praised Fujian province’s Typhoon Morakot relief efforts, Fujian Daily reported.

He telephoned Fujian officials on August 10 to inquire about the disaster situation brought on by Morakot and expressed his concern for the people and soldiers in the disaster-stricken areas.

After learning victims received proper attention and infrastructure was gradually back to normal, He said he was gratified with Fujian’s relief work, according to the paper.

He praised the Fujian Party Committee and the Fujian government for doing well in organizing disaster prevention and hoped all leaders and citizens would join the effort to fight against Morakot and decrease potential losses.

Lu Zhangong, secretary of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee, thanked He for his concern on behalf of the Fujian government and people, Fujian Daily noted. He also expressed his resolution on protecting people’s safety and leading Fujian’s citizens to succeed in disaster prevention and relief work.
