To Dinar Hasan, dancing is as important as life, and a lifetime career in dance is her goal.

"Yang Liping is my favorite dancer. I will dance my whole life, just as she does," said Dinar, 26.

After graduating from Xinjiang Arts Institute, where she majored in dance education, Hasan came back to her hometown, Zhaosu county, in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region in 2010, and got a job as a choreographer for the county art troupe.

While most Kazak women her age choose to start a family, Dinar said she preferred to develop her dancing career.

Her mother gave her a lot of support and useful advice on choreography. In her younger days she was among the first dancers in the same art troupe, until she married and quit. Leaving dance is something she regrets.

Last year, the troupe was assigned to choreograph an exercise demonstration involving 1,000 people at the opening ceremony of a sports meeting for ethnic groups in the Kazak autonomous prefecture of Ili. Hasan took to lead in the cultural troupe, consisting of her and 28 colleagues.

The massive performance was a great success and earned the troupe a good reputation.

"No matter how challenging the work is, I would love to dance and never stop," Hasan said.

"All my hard work paid off. I am grateful that my hometown offered me such a great platform. We will try our best to show excellent performances in every show and deliver happiness to people of all ethnic groups,” she said.
