Top political advisor starts visit to Germany

MUNICH - China's top political advisor Jia Qinglin arrived here on Sunday for a 5-day visit to Germany.

At present, the China-Germany ties has maintained a strong momentum of development, Jia said in a written statement upon arrival.

Both sides has maintained frequent high-level visits, scored a strong growth of economic and trade cooperation and notable exchanges in science, education, culture and law, and kept close consultation and coordination in dealing with international and regional affairs, said Jia, chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee.

He said his visit is aimed at a sustained, healthy and stable development in the China-German strategic partnership.

Germany is the last stop of Jia's three-nation European tour, which has already taken him to Greece and the Netherlands.
