Yan Junqi meets foreign dignitaries

On September 20, Vice-chairman of the National People's Congress and the Chinese People's Association for Peace and Disarmament Yan Junqi met former Japanese Prime Minister Tomichi Murayama, former Mongolian prime minister Nambaryn Enkhbayar and former South Korean prime minister Lee Hong-koo at the commemorative activity of the International Day of Peace and Northeast Asia Development Forum.

Yan Junqi said that China's People's Association for Peace and Disarmament, the UN System in China and Liaoning Government co-sponsored the commemorative activity of the International Day of Peace and the Northeast Asia Development Forum, which reflects the common heartfelt wishes of Chinese people and all Northeast Asian people who seek peace and peaceful development. The Chinese People's Association for Peace and Disarmament and other Chinese non-governmental organizations hope to take this opportunity to strengthen exchanges, promote mutual understanding with the Northeast Asian countries and attempt to achieve a win-win development.

Tomichi Murayama, Nambaryn Enkhbayar, and Lee Hong-koo said they believe that will further enhance the friendship of the Northeast Asian peoples, to create a good atmosphere for peaceful development in this region.

Liaoning Party Secretary Wang Min, Governor of Liaoning province Chen Zhenggao, vice minister of the International Department of Central Committee CPC, and advisor of the Chinese People's Association for Peace and Disarmament, Li Jinjun, and the Vice-president of the Chinese People's Association for Peace and Disarmament and Disarmament Liu Jingqin also attended the meeting.
