World-renowned Chinese pianist Lang Lang and NBA MVP LeBron James have become friends via Chinese Tencent Weibo.

LeBron said he wants to learn how to play the piano from Lang Lang after the pianist played the third movement of Bela Bartok's Piano Concerto No.2 for the famous basketball player. The concerto is a classical piece the pianist refers to as a "musical slam dunk."

"I'm a big fan of your great slam dunk. We should have fun together," said Lang Lang in a video featuring the two superstars.

The 31-year-old pianist recently released his new album on the Sony label featuring himself with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra playing Bartok's Piano Concerto No. 2 and Prokovief's Piano Concerto No.3.
