Q: What are the visons or plans at IMOOC's early days?

A: According to our analysis, the first is to do high-quality content, which is namely dry cargo. Because users, no mateer in domestic or abroad, all have free access to a lot of resources on the Internet. So what we provides is dry content, high-quality goods, and so on.

Second, we need to list knowledge points. On the aspect of IT skills, a lot of people are zero-based, who need to learn from the beginning to the end. While, there also exist some people who have a certain basis and want to quickly locate problems. They come with problems and hope to solve them. So, we're going to provide accurate fast-lookup.

The third is the short video. The Internet is a fast-food culture, so the attention of a common internet user mostly can't last for more than three minutes. Even learners can try to be concentrated as long as possible, ,the effect of extending learning time will not ideal, and too long learning time may distract people's attention. Therefore, we adopt short videos.

The vison for our product is gamification and the socialization. The game itself is a kind of incentive, and it will make users feel funny when they are constantly completing the task and gaining rewards. Socialization can solve the biggest problem of online learning—you are facing computers instead of humen beings, and what we want is to to break the loneliness of learning and increase its success rate through socialization.

Q: Why do you use the name of "IMOOC"?

A: The word "mooc" has sprung up abroad, while it is less-known at home. Borrowed from abroad, it can bring an ever-increasing influence, so we name it IMOOC. By doing so we hope to remind you of IMOOC when this "mooc" is mentioned. The IMOOC is us.

Q: What are the target-users of IMOOC?

A: The core users of IMOOC are those who step into the workplace less than three years and need to improve their career competitiveness; the college students are our radiation users; In addition, those with rich work experience and hoping to meet challenges are our high-end users. Facing different kinds of users, we have different contents respectively, such as basic courses, vantage and advanced courses, and shared case studies, which can make the users creatively study and apply.

Q: As the interference of Internet giant BAT, online education industry will face a more and more fierce competition. How do you think about or deal with the competition?

A: Online education indeed will face more and more fierce competition. Chuanke.com invested by Baidu company is essentially a trading platform, and Taobao Classmates of Alibaba company is an e-commerce platform in essence, which do not really touch the essence of education. In addition, their content is aimed to be large and all-inclusive, but IMOOC is perpendicular to the IT skills learning. Whether the nature of the platforms or the contents positioning, they are different from IMOOC. What we need to do is to be vertical, and focus on the education itself, for which the single-point breakthrough has the greatest possibility of success.

Q: Actually, the range of education is wide. Why do you choose to be vertical to IT skills field?

A: Yes, the education scope is indeed very broad, such as academic education, K12 education, language training, and so on. Why do we only do IT skills? Its reasons are as follows: the key to the academic education is the certification; the key to the K12 education is the parents; the key to language training is the examinations and going abroad; and the key to skills training is the acquisition of users.

Obviously, skills learning is based on the user, and the acquisition of the user is the point. The product speaks louder than anything else and its dominance will be self-evident. Therefore, regardless of other factors, we just focus on doing the product.

Skills can be classified as many kinds, but we only choose IT skills. First, it is useful to find a job and to improve workplace performance and living standards. Second, its user base is relatively larger than others. In the future, any industry can not go without Internet, which means its market gap will be larger and larger; As to IT skills learning, the young have stronger willingness to learn which, however, can not be met by real good products.
