HONG KONG - Hong Kong stocks rose 163.42 points, or 0.79 percent, to close at 20,809.71 on Thursday.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 20,826.91 and 20,674.94. Turnover totaled HK$44.45 billion ($5.73 billion), compared with Wednesday's HK$41.94 billion.
