Fords in China may also have faulty screens

Ford Motor Co was accused of having defective touch-screen control systems in the United States on July 16. "We have noticed the lawsuit, and we are trying to get more details. If there is further information, we will inform the public," Ford China said.

There are over 5 million Ford vehicles equipped with the MyFord Touch system around the world. Ford has installed the system in vehicles sold in China since 2010. Ford Edge, introduced in China in 2010, is the first model equipped with the system, followed by Ford Kuga and Ford Explorer.

The all-new Mondeo, which is about to debut in China, is also equipped with the MyFord Touch system. The system was also developed by Ford Motor Co in the US, despite its Chinese interface.
