Builders of Shanghai's largest makeshift hospital share their stories

Liu Ning

"Just tell me what you need, leave it to me, and you don't have to worry about the rest," Liu Ning, senior manager of the Shanghai branch of the development and construction company, hurried to the construction site at the National Exhibition and Convention Center right after completing construction of the makeshift hospital in the Lingang Special Area of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone.
Although he has been working in high intensity for more than 10 consecutive days, he made more than 100 calls in just half a day, from making procurement plans to ordering materials to coordinating logistics. As a result, 62 containers, 10,066 panels, and most of the utilities engineering materials entered the site simultaneously with the operators, ensuring the construction of the makeshift hospital was successfully carried out.
