Builders of Shanghai's largest makeshift hospital share their stories

"If necessary, I'll always be ready," said Li Ruyi, deputy manager at the installation branch of the southern construction company.

He had just participated in the construction of an emergency hospital project in Hong Kong, aided by China's central authorities. After finishing quarantine as required, he went to Shanghai for another COVID fight.

In order to save time, Li rushed to the construction site to check the overall plan as soon as he arrived in Shanghai and coordinated the work on-site at all times.
