Chinese police officer praised after swapping himself for hostage
Thanks to Huang's brave decision and smart strategy during the last minute of the incident, the family whose life had been on the line survived.
"How brave he is! Pay tribute to the nation's police," a WeChat user with a screen name called ABCCLMeihaodangxia commented.
"He's a good man. We should show more understanding and support to police officers. They are also [parents'] children, [children's] fathers and fellow co-workers [like us in the office]. They also work hard each day," @Sui Yue praised the police on WeChat and showed his respect on WeChat.
"This is a real man for the people. In dire peril, he dashes ahead regardless of his own safety, but the life is not like the steel and iron, please remember to defend yourself for your family. Wish you safe and sound all your life," a Weibo user, @Taiyuanzhonglianjituanliyulan commented on the heroic Huang.
