PYONGYANG - The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), the official news agency of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), accused Japan's latest defense white paper of being full of provocation to DPRK in an article issued Thursday.

According to the article, Japan's "concern" over DPRK's nuclear facilities and missiles expressed in the paper is another "unpardonable provocation" to the DPRK. It's also a revelation of Japan's persistent hostility toward the DPRK.

The DPRK develops its defense capability to protect its sovereignty, security and territorial integrity. Its nukes and missiles could never be a threat to Japan, said the article.

It also said the Japanese, by smearing the DPRK, are trying to cover up moves to establish a missile defense system that could turn Japan into a military giant and stage a comeback to Korea and the rest of Northeast Asia.

The paper is "nothing but a document for aggression and war" as it is designed to realize their ambition for re-invasion, said the article.

Japan has become the root cause of the unstable situation in Northeast Asia, threatening and disturbing its peace and security, the article added.

It also urged Japan to consider the grave consequences and halt their anti-peace actions, or it is fated to meet only a miserable end.
