Self-service bus: CNY1 paid by cash, or CNY0.4 paid by a Beijing transportation smart card.

Tips

If there are three gates on a bus, pleas embark using the middle gate and disembark from the other two gates. Over payment by cash into the coin machine will not be refunded. Charged by distance: Except of these self-service buses, the other city-buses are equipped with conductors. The flag-down rate of the bus is CNY1 for the first 12 kilometers, and then charges CNY0.5 per additional 5 kilometers. The passengers, pay the bus fare by a Beijing transportation smart card, could enjoy 60% discounts on any routes. If you pay the bus fare by a smart card, you have to touch the card to the reader machine when you embark on the bus and then again when you disembark from the bus.
