Longest suspension bridge achieves milestone

An aerial photo shows the Fuma Yangtze River Bridge under construction in Wanzhou of Southwest China's Chongqing, on Nov 15, 2016. The bridge, with a total length of 2,030 meters, successfully completed the closure on Tuesday, with the last steel box girder being connected to its main body. As the longest suspension bridge in the Three Gorges Reservoir area, the bridge linking Wanzhou of Chongqing and Lichuan of Central China's Hubei province is scheduled to be put into operation in 2017.
