More and more start-ups and enterprises are choosing Siming district in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province as their investment destination due to the area's improving business environment and independent innovative capabilities, the CCTV finance channel reported.

During the live show, representatives from Siming spoke highly of the district's sound business environment and improved government services as well as Siming's robust and vibrant economy, open and inclusive society, and beautiful and livable environment.

In recent years, Siming has beefed up efforts to promote the development of emerging industries, and accelerate the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries. It has also made great strides in areas such as urban renewal, industrial agglomeration, and city and industry integration.

Entrepreneurs in Siming were also impressed by the district's high-quality development. Ogawa, a world-leading enterprise focusing on the healthcare industry, took root in Siming in 1996, and has witnessed rapid development over the past 25 years. Currently, the company has expanded its global footprint and has built five national-level innovation platforms. Efforts have also been made to further increase its research and development intensity, and Ozawa has obtained more than 1,000 authorized patents.

"In recent years, Siming has attached great importance to the development of local enterprises, and encouraged them to make breakthroughs in several key technologies. It has also given great support to enterprises that promote and apply new products," said Zou Jianhan, chairman of Ogawa.

Zou added that Ogawa will continue to invest in Siming, which will help the area soar to new heights by strengthening cooperation with the district.

Xiamen offers a more favorable environment and rich talent resources for business startups. The city has also made great leaps in the development of cartoon games, artificial intelligence, big data, and smart city construction, which have boosted the confidence of enterprises, according to Teng Da, chairman of Meiya Pico.
