The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) Innovation Cooperation Center (Bangkok) (CASICCB) has been working with Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region in moving forward technology innovation and cooperation, especially between China and ASEAN countries, yielding fruitful results.

The CASICCB, which was established in 2016, is the first non-profit representative organization set up by the CAS overseas in Thailand and relies on the Shanghai Advanced Research Institute of the CAS. It is set to be an important platform for the CAS to carry out overseas achievement transformation and technology transfer.

The center has been taking an active role in pushing forward the construction of a China-Thailand platform for technology transfer, incubation and innovation with Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region since its establishment.

As a frontier area for opening-up, and cooperating with ASEAN countries, Guangxi has been a pioneer in promoting scientific innovation towards ASEAN countries as well as countries and regions of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

The platform, jointly built by the center, the Science and Technology Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and China-ASEAN Technology Transfer Center, will give full play to the advantageous resources of two centers to deeply immerge into the construction of a coordinated network for technology transfer between China and ASEAN countries.

The CASICCB will also turn the China-ASEAN Technology Transfer Center into a demonstration zone for global sharing technology transfer towards ASEAN and BRI countries.
