Silkworm Festival brings visitors to Tongxiang

Migul Roberg from the Chinese Foreign Publishing House tasted wheat cake and learned how to make zongzi, a pyramid-shaped dumpling made of glutinous rice wrapped in bamboo, with the help of locals.

"This is the first time I've made zongzi. I thought it was made by a machine, but now I know it takes time and patience," she said.

Attendees also visited the Bohong City Study Room, a library of over 10,000 books and study room of modern architectural design, which is regarded as one Tongxiang's most important cultural symbols.
