Media briefing for intl SME fair held in Guangzhou

The media briefing conference for the 15th China International SME Fair (CISMEF) was held in Guangzhou on Aug 14.

He Zuoxian, deputy director of the SME Bureau of Guangdong province and director of the Bureau of China International SME Fair, along with consul-generals of United Arab Emirates and Thailand in Guangzhou and exhibitor representatives from Japan and Taiwan, attended the event.

This year's event was jointly organized by Guangzhou and UAE, which is a concrete measure to deepen China-Arab economic and trade cooperation and implement the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. The event is guaranteed to promote the in-depth exchanges and cooperation between the two countries, according to He Zuoxian.

The UAE will put up an exhibition area exceeding 1,000 square meters, with nearly 100 featured enterprises in the fields of agricultural food, trade retail, information and communication, and tourism culture will showcase their products at the 15th CISMEF and promote local specialty products, industrial investment environment and tourism culture.

Up to now, a total of 28 countries and international organizations have confirmed their participation in the event, and the number of reserved booths has reached nearly 1,100.

The CISMEF is an international event featuring the highest level, largest scale and most wide-ranging influence in the Asia-Pacific region and specially serves SMEs.

Responding to the national strategy of opening up, the fair will host several international pavilions featuring the Belt and Road, China-Africa Cooperation Mechanism and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It will also hold match-making sessions and promotion conferences for overseas SMEs.
